Prof. Fleck joined Kingโs College London (KCL) in 2013. Prior to working at KCL, he was the head of Biological Imaging and Assay Development at the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC) where he developed advanced imaging techniques for the control and standardisation of biological medicines, as well as developing differentiation protocols for human embryonic stem cell lines to allow them to be used as substrates in functional biological assays. With close to 50 peer reviewed papers to his name, his expertise and extensive experience continues to greatly enhance the field of Biological Imaging.
Prof. Fleckโs keynote presentation at the conference will cover the topic of โMulti-scale Correlative Workflows, Challenges and Opportunities for cryo CLEMโ. He will provide results on his recent assessment of the integration of soft X-ray whole volume imaging into CLEM workflows. Here, the primary goal was to assist in identifying regions of interest in vitrified samples, providing the opportunity to increase workflow throughput and efficiencies.
Prof. Fleck will present at 1:30pm on Thursday, Aug 1st, session C05.3
(We look forward to seeing you there and at the other C05 sessions!)
