🌟The development of the first commercially available lab-based soft x-ray microscope, SiriusXT’s SXT-100, has opened up new possibilities for integrating soft x-ray microscopy into correlative workflows.
🌟The SXT-100 used at low magnification and wide field of view, allows for swift acquisition of 2D images, covering extensive areas on the grid, and enables efficient and rapid identification of regions of interest.
This utility can be exploited in EM workflows where the feature location can be recorded and the grid passed to a cryo FIB/SEM for lamella extraction and subsequent cryo-ET imaging, as well as other correlative workflows.
🌟Dr. Sergey Kapishnikov, will be presenting on the topic “Integrating lab-based cryo soft x-ray tomography into light and electron microscopy”, elaborating on these novel workflow developments, at the conference “Pathogens: New Insights from Imaging Techniques” at Heidelberg University, organised within the CLEXM Consortium.
We look forward to meeting you there! 😀
